Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Lake and River levels remain high due to recent rainfall. Levels have peaked and are expected to fall slowly thoughout the day. This Flood Warning is expected to remain in force until tomorrow. Further showers are expected later today and more rain is forecast for Sunday. Locations most affected will be around the shores of Derwent Water Lake. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 28 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
