Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: River levels have fallen in the upper reaches of the Rivers Brue and Sheppey after recent rainfall, however considerable water remains on the moors and in the rivers downstream of Glastonbury. Catchments are saturated and rivers remain very responsive to rainfall. Flooding may affect locations near the River Brue and River Sheppey, with low lying land and roads most affected, particularly around the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare Road. Overtopping is possible from the Glastonbury Millstream and the River Brue at North Drain and Westhay. Showers, heavy at times, will persist through Monday (16/02/26) before clearing through this evening. Tuesday will be a largely dry day with a return to more unsettled conditions later in the week. We continue to closely monitor the rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 1PM on 17th February 2026, or as the situation changes.
