Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place at various locations across the Transport for Wales network, closing some lines.
The following services are affected:
Monday to Thursday:
- The 19:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central service will divert between Newport (South Wales) and Cwmbran, resulting in extended journey times
- The 20:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central service will divert between Cwmbran and Newport (South Wales), resulting in extended journey times
- The 21:46 Fishguard Harbour to Cardiff Central service will divert via Barry, resulting in extended journey times
- The 22:21 Cardiff Central to Crewe service will depart Cardiff Central earlier than usual at 22:12, and will also depart Newport (South Wales) earlier than usual at 22:32
- The 22:24 Chester to Cardiff Central service service will divert between Cwmbran and Newport (South Wales), resulting in extended journey times
- The 23:15 Cardiff Central to Abergavenny service will divert between Newport (South Wales) and Cwmbran, resulting in extended journey times
- The 23:20 Cardiff Central to Carmarthen service will depart Cardiff Central earlier than usual at 23:18, and will divert via Ninian Park (not calling)
Tuesday to Friday:
- The 00:30 Cardiff Central to Hereford service will divert between Newport (South Wales) and Cwmbran, resulting in extended journey times
- The 04:32 Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly service will depart Cardiff Central earlier than usual at 04:15 and Newport at 04:35, running as scheduled from Shrewsbury onwards
- The 05:43 Swansea to Manchester Piccadilly service is amended to run from Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly only
Wednesday and Thursday:
- The 18:35 Shrewsbury to Swansea service will be amended to run from Shrewsbury to Llanelli only. A replacement bus service will run from Llanelli to Swansea via Port Talbot Parkway
- The 21:46 Fishguard Harbour to Cardiff Central service will be diverted. A replacement bus service will run from Llanelli to Port Talbot Parkway
- The 22:40 Swansea to Carmarthen service will be bus replaced throughout
- The 23:20 Cardiff Central to Carmarthen service will be diverted. A replacement bus service will run from Port Talbot Parkway to Carmarthen
- The 23:45 Swansea to Carmarthen service will be bus replaced throughout
Thursday and Friday:
- The 04:38 Carmarthen to Swansea service will be bus replaced throughout
- The 04:47 Carmarthen to Shrewsbury service will depart earlier than usual at 04:39
- The 05:16 Swansea to Llandovery service will start forward at Llanelli. A replacement bus service will run from Swansea to Llanelli
Friday only:
- The 17:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Milford Haven service will terminate at Swansea. A replacement bus service will run from Swansea to Milford Haven
- The 22:40 Swansea to Carmarthen service will be bus replaced throughout
- The 23:20 Cardiff Central to Carmarthen service will terminate at Swansea. A replacement bus service will run from Swansea to Carmarthen
- The 23:45 Swansea to Carmarthen service will be bus replaced throughout
