A points failure at Blackburn means all lines are blocked. Trains running through the station may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
Rochdale to Clitheroe via Darwen services will start/terminate at Blackburn and will not call at stations between Blackburn and Clitheroe.
Replacement buses will run as follows:
- 23:20 Blackburn to Clitheroe calling at Ramsgreave & Wilpshire, Langho, Whalley and Clitheroe
- 23:45 Clitheroe to Blackburn calling at Whalley, Langho, Ramsgreave & Wilpshire and Blackburn
- 22:45 Clitheroe to Blackburn calling at Whalley, Langho, Ramsgreave & Wilpshire and Blackburn then as required at stations via Darwen to Manchester Victoria
Journey times will be extended by 45 minutes whilst travelling by rail replacement transport.
