Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, closing various lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.
As a result:
Monday to Thursday:
- The 20:48 London Paddington to Swansea will divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, calling at Bridgend and beyond later than normal. On Wednesday and Thursday this train will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway
- The 21:48 London Paddington to Swansea will use this route as normal between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Ninian Park – not calling). On Wednesday and Thursday, this train will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway
- The 22:46 London Paddington to Swansea (also diverted between Swindon and Bristol Parkway) will further divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend calling at Bridgend and beyond later than normal. On Wednesday and Thursday the train will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway
Tuesday and Wednesday:
- The 03:46 Swansea to London Paddington will call at Bridgend and Cardiff Central a few minutes later than normal. Normal timings departing Cardiff Central and beyond
