Description of Incident
There are yellow and amber weather warnings associated with Storm Claudia in place on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November across parts of England.
The poor weather is expected to cause disruption to services running on various routes across the CrossCountry network. Please check your entire journey in full before you travel.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day on Friday 14 November.
Customer advice:
CrossCountry are running an amended timetable to reflect the speed restriction, with a reduced service operating between Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street between 13:00 until the end of the day 14 November.
An hourly service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street. Passengers travelling between Manchester Piccadilly and Bristol / Reading / Bournemouth are advised to travel to Birmingham New Street for connections to these destinations.
To help with your journey your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:
- The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but coaches B, H and L are the unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
