Description of Incident

The RMT union have announced industrial action at CrossCountry which will take place on Saturday 18 October and Saturday 1 November.

Saturday 18 October:

All CrossCountry routes will be impacted, with a limited service on some routes and no services on others. Services will also start later and finish much earlier than usual, and those that do operate are expected to be very busy.

Some services will extend from York to Edinburgh, and from Reading to Southampton.

The calling patterns of some services will be different as a result, so passengers should plan their journeys carefully before travelling.

Other operators’ services are unaffected by this industrial action.

There are also planned engineering works over the weekend, which will also impact which CrossCountry services will run, particularly between Southampton and Bournemouth. For journey and route details, you can view the timetable summary for Saturday 18 October.

Saturday 1 November:

CrossCountry continue to assess the impact on services for this date, and they will provide updates on what this will mean for their passengers when more information is available.
