Description of Incident

A speed restriction is in place due to heavy rain between Dunbar and Reston which means that trains have to run at a reduced speed on all lines. As a result, trains running between Dunbar and Berwick-upon-Tweed may be delayed by up to 20 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Additional information:

Due to forecast heavy rain, Network Rail have issued a blanket 40 mph speed restriction between the Dunglass Viaduct (south of Dunbar station) to Reston Station, approximately a 10 mile section. This will be in place until 08:00 on Friday 14 November.

You can use your ticket on the next available service at no extra cost if you miss your connecting service.

Lumo and TransPennine Express customer advice:

You should continue to travel as planned, however, your journey may be delayed.
