Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High river levels on the River Ray may cause flooding. River levels are rising on the River Ray at Islip in response to recent rainfall. Flooding of property and roads remains possible, especially in the Islip area. Further rain showers are possible overnight. Tomorrow is forecasted to be predominantly dry. Levels are currently falling in the upper reaches of the River Ray, however, we expect river levels to continue slowly rising at Islip overnight and tomorrow. Levels will remain high and sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels. Stay away from flood water – it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals. This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 17 February 2026, or as the situation changes.
