Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible today, Monday 16th February 2026 and tomorrow Tuesday 17th February 2026. Locations most affected will be riverside footpaths and low-lying land in York and to the south as far as Naburn Lock, including Kings Staith, Queens Staith, and South Esplanade. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 09:00AM on 17th February 2026 or as the situation changes.
