Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High river levels may lead to flooding. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Littlethorpe, Braunstone, Aylestone, Abbey Park, Birstall and Wanlip, and Braunstone Lane East, Sharnford, Croft, the Mill on the Soar car park and Falconry. Rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Littlethorpe and Freeman Weir Gauges will remain high today. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 08:00PM on 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
