Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible , as a lot of rain (49mm) has fallen in the last week. Flooding is affecting Springvale Road in Kings Worthy. In Martyr Worthy, Chilland and Easton drainage ditches and culverts will become full and less effective as natural flow paths are restricted. Some properties may be affected as water seeps up through floors. Footpaths near the river will also become inaccessible. In Littleton, cellar flooding and road flooding could occur from Thursday (12/02/2026). Small amounts of rain are forecast from today (09/02/2026) until Thursday (12/02/2026). Groundwater levels could continue to rise slowly until the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation . Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed . This message will be updated by 6:00PM on 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
