Lymington River

Current Flood Alert: Flood alert 3

Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High river levels on Sunday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on Sunday 15/02/2026, with 15mm of rain forecast. If rain falls as forecast today, flooding will further affect land and roads, including Burley Road, Brockenhurst. The river will be bank full as it flows through Martin’s Road and Balmer Lawn Road, and may cause garden flooding at Balmer Lawn Road. In Lymington itself, the river will rise over the next 10 hours, but we do not expect impacts to property. More rainfall is forecast on Tuesday (17/02/2026) and Wednesday (18/02/2026). River levels and flood risk will remain high into next week. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Avoid driving through watersplash areas in Brockenhurst. This message will be updated by 6:00PM on 17 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
