Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening.  Flooding is expected on 28 February 2026 from approximately 7PM.  Areas most at risk are properties at Huston Close, Proctors Park Road and Mill Lane near the River Soar. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Pillings Lock Gauge will rise until approximately midday tomorrow, 01/03/2026, and remain high throughout the day.  We are closely monitoring the situation   Start acting on your flood plan if you have one & move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.  This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 01 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
