Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible   Groundwater levels are high at our Hodcot borehole affecting West Ilsley, East Ilsley, Compton, Chilton and West Hagbourne where flooding of low-lying areas roads is possible. The groundwater level is higher than normal for this time of year at this location and is continuing to rise. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take particular care when driving both for your own safety and to prevent flooding to others .  This message will be updated by 12:00PM on 03 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
