Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: The River Uck is falling following heavy rain on Sunday (15/02/2026). Only isolated showers are forecast on Monday and Tuesday. River levels should continue to fall. Levels should return near to normal by Tuesday (17/02/2026). However, widespread rain is forecast on Wednesday morning (18/02/2026). This could potentially be more rain than recorded on Sunday. If as much rain falls as is currently predicted, from Wednesday evening (18/02/2026), flood impacts could again affect riverside properties near the White Hart Pub in Buxted, and Hempstead Mill, the Roller Mill, Mill Lane, River Way, Bridge Cottage and Bell Walk, Uckfield. Gardens of properties at Isfield Mill and Isfield Bridge could also be impacted. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Buxted and Isfield. This message will be updated by 8:00PM on 17/02/2026.
