Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Water levels remain high at Sherborne Lake after the recent rainfall. River levels have fallen but the rivers are very responsive to rainfall. Flooding may affect locations near Sherborne Lake, the River Yeo, River Cam, River Wriggle, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the Sparkford to Weston Bampfylde road and Deep Ford Lane, Chetnole. Showers, heavy at times, will persist through Monday (16/02/26) before clearing through this evening. Tuesday will be a largely dry day with a return to more unsettled conditions later in the week. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 1PM on 17th February 2026 or as the situation changes.
