Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High river levels today may lead to flooding. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including the Morrisons parks at Glenfield and Anstey. Low-lying land and farmlands in the Glenfield, Anstey, Sileby, Thurcaston, Rothley, Newtown Linford, Cropston, Swithland and Quorn areas. Rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Glenfield Gauge remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
