Current Flood Alert: Flood warning 2

Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding.  Flooding is expected in response to recent rainfall.  Areas that could be affected include: Aughton, Collingbourne Kingston and Collingbourne Ducis. The groundwater level at the Everleigh borehole has risen to 135.10m, and is expected to rise into next week. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. Residents may experience inundation of septic tanks and sewer systems. Flooding of roads is expected, take particular care when driving, both for your own safety and to prevent flooding to others. Intense rainfall will lead to surface water flooding.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts .  This message will be updated by 3:45PM on 17 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
