Current Flood Alert: Flood warning 2

Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: This is an update to the current Flood Warning. River levels remain high due to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Middle Hampshire Avon, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around The Close, St Marys Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral School, Bishops Walk, Exeter Street and Carmelite Way. The weather remains unsettled with more rainfall forecast throughout the day today, which may cause further river level rise. We are closely monitoring the situation. Continue using any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 1:00PM on 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
