Current Flood Alert: Flood warning 2

Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: High river levels are expected to continue to cause flooding on 16th February 2026. Further light rainfall is forecast today and river levels will remain high. The Whittlesey Wash flood storage reservoir is being operated to protect nearby communities from flooding. The rising levels in the Wash will result in flooding of the B1040 road. Whilst the Flood Warning is in force, the Local Authority may close the B1040 for safety reasons. Diversionary routes will be put in place and further updates will be available through local media. We are closely monitoring the situation. Refer to local authority website for road closures. This message will be updated by 17:00 on 17th February 2026, or as the situation changes.
