Current Flood Alert: Flood alert 3

Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Rising groundwater levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from 10 February 2026. Groundwater levels are currently rising at our Frith Cottage borehole near the Haslemere and Churt areas. Groundwater levels are above normal for this time of year and have now reached a level where communities may be affected by groundwater flooding within the next few days. We expect groundwater levels to continue slowly rising over the next few weeks due to sustained rainfall across the area. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. We are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. This message will be updated by 20:00 on 17 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
