Current Flood Alert: Flood alert 3
Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Considerable floodwater remains on the Somerset Levels and Moors. Upstream catchments are saturated and are very responsive to rainfall, and consequently the risk of flooding continues. Areas most at risk include locations near the River Yeo, River Parrett and River Cary, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected particularly around the Ilchester to Yeovilton road at the end of runway. Sunday (15/2/26) will be a showery day and these showers may be heavy at times. The showery theme will continue through Monday with a drier outlook currently forecast for Tuesday. We continue to monitor the situation and Field Teams are out clearing debris screens and checking rivers for blockages. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Remain aware of local water levels and weather conditions and don’t put yourself or others at risk. This message will be updated by 1pm on 16th February 2026, or as the situation changes.
