Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: This is a Flood Alert update. River levels remain high at South House, Little Puddle and Briantspuddle river gauges. Flooding could still affect locations near the River Piddle, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Alton Pancras and Wareham. Further rain is forecast over the weekend and we are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. People in this area should continue to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
