CrossCountry between Manchester Piccadilly and Southampton Central / Bournemouth, and between Birmingham New Street and Southampton Central / Bournemouth, and between Reading and Southampton Central / Bournemouth

Great Western Railway between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Portsmouth Harbour

South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Southampton Central / Bournemouth / Poole / Weymouth

Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place in the Southampton Central area, closing various lines.

CrossCountry:

Rail replacement buses will operate between Southampton Airport Parkway and Bournemouth.

Great Western Railway:

Trains between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Portsmouth Harbour will be diverted to run via Chandlers Ford / Eastleigh, calling additionally at these stations. These trains will not call at Southampton Central.

For Southampton Central, you should change at Eastleigh and use South Western Railway services between Eastleigh and Southampton Central, at no extra cost.

South Western Railway:

Buses replace trains trains between:

  • Southampton Airport Parkway and Poole
  • Southampton Central and Romsey
  • Southampton Central and New Milton / Poole
  • Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier

Southern:

It is not yet known how Southern will be affected by this engineering work.
