Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place in the Filton Abbey Wood area, closing some lines.

Filton Abbey Wood – Bristol Temple Meads:

All day on Saturday, trains between Filton Abbey Wood and Bristol Temple Meads will not run. Trains between Gloucester and Bristol Temple Meads (and beyond) will call additionally at Ashley Down, Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill to compensate. Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill will continue to be served by Severn Beach / Avonmouth services.

Severn Beach / Avonmouth – Weston-super-Mare:

Due to closure of the freight only route between Avonmouth and Bristol Parkway, freight trains will be diverted to run via Avonmouth.

As a result:

  • The 14:12 Bristol Temple Meads to Avonmouth will not run
  • The 14:46 Avonmouth to Weston-super-Mare will start from Bristol Temple Meads
