Engineering work is taking place between Chester and Warrington Bank Quay / Manchester Piccadilly, closing some lines.
The following services will be amended:
Monday to Thursday:
- The 19:42 Llandudno to Manchester Airport service will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services to travel onwards to East Didsbury / Manchester Airport at no extra cost
- The 21:09 Birmingham International to Manchester Piccadilly will terminate at Chester with an onward replacement bus to Manchester Piccadilly – please note this service will not call at Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Oxford Road
- The 21:52 Chester to Manchester Airport service will terminate at Warrington Bank Quay with an onward rail replacement bus operating to Manchester Piccadilly – please note this service will not call at Manchester Oxford Road. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road and also between Manchester Piccadilly and East Didsbury / Manchester Airport at no extra cost
- The 22:25 Manchester Airport to Chester service will start from Warrington Bank Quay at 23:23 with a rail replacement bus connecting in from Manchester Piccadilly – please note this service will not call at Manchester Oxford Road. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Piccadilly and also between Manchester Airport / East Didsbury and Manchester Piccadilly at no extra cost
- The 22:32 Manchester Piccadilly to Shrewsbury service will terminate at Crewe. An additional train will run at 23:18 from Crewe to Shrewsbury, calling at all stations. You can connect between these two trains at Crewe
- The 23:25 Manchester Airport to Holyhead service will start from Chester at 00:47 with a connecting rail replacement bus running from Manchester Piccadilly. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport / East Didsbury and Manchester Piccadilly at no extra cost
Tuesday to Friday:
- The 00:24 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester service will be replaced by a bus throughout
- The 03:51 Chester to Manchester Airport service will be replaced by a bus between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly – please note this service will not call at Manchester Oxford Road. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road, and also between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport at no extra cost
- The 04:55 Chester to Manchester Airport service will depart later at 05:01 and run later to Manchester Oxford Road where it will terminate. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Piccadilly / Manchester Airport at no extra cost
- The 05:25 Manchester Airport to Llandudno service will start from Warrington Bank Quay at 06:21 with a connecting inward bus. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and Manchester Oxford Road at no extra cost
- The 06:25 Manchester Airport to Llandudno service will start from Manchester Oxford Road at 06:48. You can use your ticket on Northern and TransPennine Express services between Manchester Airport and Manchester Oxford Road at no extra cost
