Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway, closing all lines early on Sunday morning, and some lines throughout the rest of the day.

Elizabeth line:

Before 07:40:

No trains will run between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway.

If you have a National Rail paper ticket or e-ticket, you can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following operators’ services between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway:

  • London Underground
  • London Buses

If you are using contactless payment / Oyster card, you can also use the above alternative travel options but you will be required to pay the normal tap in / tap out fares for your journey. From 07:40:

Abbey Wood to Maidenhead services will start / terminate at London Paddington low level. Abbey Wood to Heathrow Terminal 4 services will be reduced to 2 trains per hour. Services will still operate between Shenfield and Heathrow Terminal 5 and Abbey Wood and Reading. Maidenhead, Burnham, Slough, Langley and West Drayton stations will be reduced to 2 trains per hour.

Hayes & Harlington, Southall and Ealing Broadway will be reduced to 6 trains per hour. The Reading service will now call at Iver. Acton Main Line, Hanwell and West Ealing will have no service.

Great Western Railway:

Before 07:20:

The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington service will be amended to start at 06:40 and run later than usual throughout.

The 06:38 London Paddington to Reading service will not run. You should instead travel by later train services.

After 07:20:

Long distance trains will be amended to run up to 8 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Local trains will be amended to run up to 5 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Heathrow Express:

No trains will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5 before 07:25. From 07:25 until the end of the day, a reduced and amended service will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5.
