I was travelling back on the M4 on Sunday afternoon, after visiting my daughter’s family.
What I want to know is, why didn’t highways team place diversion signage at jnct 13, i.e. BEFORE arriving at Jnct 12.
The nightmare that I was stuck in lasted 5 hours… to go 8 junctions along the M4.
Being in that kind of traffic where you travel at 3 mph for almost 5 hours is not economical, healthy, sensible nor effective.
Whoever thought it was ok to plan it so everyone fell foul of the traffic backlog should lose their job.
I felt like I had jetlag this morning…

Please can you confirm is there a diversion set up just before junction 8/9 of the M4 as I need to get on the M4 to travel to Somerset.
please can you put closures on M4 as I have to give news to my hubby who, at present, is driving a coach between Cardiff to Heathrow, or London Victoria or Bristol Airport. Your website is atrocious at trying to find out what is closed, when its closed and its opening hours. We need it in plain speak please to make professional drivers less tense and able to work out if they have to divert.
