Water puddles on A3 Esher by pass towards London.
We travelled back from Guildford to Surbiton after the heavy rainfall on Friday evening 31 Oct, it was still raining heavily after 7pm and we saw a car swerving. There was deep water puddles and on the road and the car probably drove between 40 – 50 mph in the middle/slow lanes. We shortly after also hit a large puddle (flooded area) and luckily no cars next to us, swerving across multiple lanes. Highlighting in case anything can be done.
it was a nightmare journey for me and my family last night coming from aldershot to london via A3 and just before guildford hospital A3 close and no sign for diverted traffic i took so many turn to find out way and get out of this messy situation and even took another route to go to M3 and just before you take M3 for london and that junction was closed took me 3 hours to get to wimbledon what a night top of that no sign for where is this diverted traffic,someone should take notice ..
The A3 has not been widened to 4 lanes each way as stated in History above.

A3 closed southbound just south of Guildford. Waze know this- surprised that this site does not!
Who is going to read this and do something? Last night[4July] I was confronted with a diversion just before the Hindhead Tunnel which took me off the road into non-signposted territory.
I was going to Guildford and it took a long time to find a route.
Really poor stuff.
Last night my partner was turned off the A3 northbound just after Liss roundabout with no prior notice absolutely disgusting shutting all lanes when people are trying to commute Portsmouth to London the night before he was turned off at hind head and was given no diversion at all and to go back to Portsmouth

What a complete shambles at A3 / Puttenham Heath Road junction at 6.30 am on 7/12/19. No prior notices comming from Godalming direction and then ludicrous redirection through Guildford. Utter contempt for road users shown by planners, if they merit that description.
