Noticed that the A19 Southbound was shut last night before 10pm near Teesside Retail Park and no warnings. It took us nearly 2 hours to get home to Northallerton via Darlington and A1(M)
A19 closed from East Boldon to Doxford Park south and north – with no indication till you have come through the Tyne Tunnel southbound.
So is is it from 8pm till 6am for December then?

I drove over 90mile from Leeds to Sunderland to find a19 closed at a1231 and not 1 mention kn any matrix sign. I found out by getting to the road closed sign
A19 southbound, heading towards the a184 roundabout. 4-5 cars crashed into each other. Down to one lane. Happened around 17.30
