i have heard the A20 from West Kingsdown to Wrotham Hill is closed but you show no such info so does that mean it is not true?

  2. Frankly we should all be complaining about the state of the Road Closures with no apparent workers in sight. THE SIGNAGE is appalling it does not tell any information as to what is closed and why or where the diversions are taking you . Not much help if you are a tourist in a our beautiful county , COME ON HIGHWAYS sort yourselves out . Equally difficult for residents . Accidents will happen we are aware of that . but your planning on road works etc leaves much to be desired . . WE KNOW ALL THE EXCUSES COVID etc But yes WE ARE ALL AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC and it’s legacy . .
JUST PLAN AND INFORM and then get on with the job !!

  3. The A20 around the Dover area, seems to be the most unreliable major road in the country?
The number of times this road is shut, is ridiculous! This road was built to divert the port traffic, away from the town, like the A2/Jubilee way. The reason being that the B2011 Folkestone road, is unsuitable to take this traffic. Yet on a very regular basis, we the residents have to put up with these heavy loud vehicles, rolling past our homes even through the night.
Why is this road so prone to closures? I understand that all roads need maintenance, but why is this road need so many closures? This seems to happen every few months, and as a result, many lorries use it as a cut through to the port, even though they don’t need to. Laughingly, there is a sign on the A20, stating “no port access on B2011”, then they get sent down it!
It would be nice to believe that the money spent on building the A20 for the port, was an inept folly?

    1. I live on East cliff and was given no access home this night, I had to drive through a tiny gap and the wrong way up the a20.to access where I live? Why is there no local access?

    2. They have closed the road ashford bound by the crematorium! No workmen just shut the road because of the water leak. Excellent when the M20 has been shut today …….
