Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place in the London Kings Cross area, closing some lines.

Grand Central:

No trains between London Kings Cross and Bradford Interchange / Sunderland will run.

Great Northern / Thameslink:

No trains will run between Potters Bar and Letchworth Garden City / St Neots or between Hertford North and Stevenage.

A revised train service will run between:

  • St Neots and Peterborough
  • Letchworth Garden City and Cambridge / Kings Lynn
  • London Kings Cross and Potters Bar
  • Moorgate and Potters Bar
  • Moorgate and Hertford North
  • Finsbury Park and Brighton

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Potters Bar and Hitchin
  • St Albans and Stevenage via Welwyn Garden City
  • Luton Airport Parkway and Stevenage via Hitchin
  • Hitchin and St Neots
  • Bedford and St Neots
  • Hertford North and Stevenage

Your paper rail tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on Thameslink services between Bedford and London, and on Greater Anglia services between Cambridge North and London Liverpool Street.

Paper rail tickets will also be accepted on London Underground Picadilly, Victoria, Jubilee lines, and London Buses to complete your journey.

Hull Trains:

Hull Trains will operate an amended and reduced service, diverting to run to / from London St Pancras International.

As a result, services will not call at Stevenage, Grantham, Retford, Doncaster, Cottingham and Beverley.

LNER:

No trains will run between London Kings Cross and Peterborough.

You can use alternative train services between London St Pancras International and Bedford, and LNER rail replacement buses between Bedford and Peterborough.

Lumo:

An amended and reduced service will run between Newcastle and Edinburgh / Glasgow Queen Street only.
