Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: The River Yeo level at Huish Episcopi pumping station is 8.00m and is slowly falling. The drain level at Huish Episcopi pumping station is 7.39m and is slowly falling. Flooding will affect the road from Langport to Muchelney if this drain level exceeds 7.3m and the road from Muchelney to Long Load above 7.86m. The roads from Muchelney to Thorney and from Muchelney to Draycott, Law Lane, are not affected. Property flooding at this time is not expected. The forecast for the next five days is for dry weather with no significant rain forecast. We will continue to pump water from the moors during this dry spell. We will continue to monitor the situation, clearing weed screens and checking rivers for blockages. Don’t put yourself or others at risk.
