Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: River levels are forecast to rise at the Cheswick Green river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall this evening. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible to begin from 01:00 tomorrow morning, 08/10/24. We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Blythe between Cheswick Green and Blyth End. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Tuesday afternoon, 08/10/24. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 11:00 on 08/10/24, or as the situation changes.
