Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: River levels have fallen however the risk of flooding remains throughout this evening and into tomorrow (28/08/2026). Areas most at risk are low-lying recreational areas and roads including High School playing fields on Valley Road and other low lying land and recreational areas, low lying land and roads around the Tottle Brook. Heavy rainfall has passed however there is still a risk of further rainfall from isolated thunderstorms this evening (27/08/2026) and tomorrow (28/08/2026). We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses & monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 09:00 AM on 28 August 2026, or as the situation changes.
