Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Guildford and Earlswood, closing all lines.

Great Western Railway:

Buses will replace trains between Guildford and Gatwick Airport:

  • Fast buses will run direct between Guildford and Gatwick Airport
  • Stopping buses will call at all stations between Guildford and Reigate, then Redhill and Gatwick Airport

At Redhill, buses from Guildford will call to drop off only. Buses towards Guildford will call to pick up only.

At Dorking, buses will call at Dorking (Main) instead of Dorking (Deepdene). Dorking (Main) and Dorking (Deepdene) are a short distance apart from each other.

An amended train service will run between Reading and Guildford, with 2 trains per hour running.

Southern:

Trains will be diverted between Purley and Horley and will not call at stations via Redhill.

Direct trains between Reigate and London Victoria will not run all day.

Trains that usually run between Redhill and Tonbridge will also not run.

Replacement buses will run between:

  • Purley and Redhill / Reigate / Horley
  • Redhill and Tonbridge

Southern trains running between London Victoria and Brighton will call additionally at Purley and Horley.

Thameslink:

No trains will run between Purley and Horley via Redhill.

No trains will call at Coulsdon South, Merstham, Redhill, Earlswood, Salfords or Horley.

Rail replacement buses will run between Purley and Horley to provide connections.

Your tickets will be accepted on Metrobus route 100 at no extra cost.
