Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Stalybridge and Mirfield and also between Huddersfield and Lockwood / Penistone, closing all lines.

Northern:

Trains between Sheffield and Huddersfield will be revised to run between Sheffield and Penistone / Lockwood only. A replacement bus service will operate between Penistone / Lockwood and Huddersfield.

TransPennine Express:

There will be no services through Huddersfield station.

  • Manchester Victoria and York
  • Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle
  • Leeds and Hull
  • York and Redcar Central / Scarborough
  • Wakefield Kirkgate and York
  • Manchester Airport and Stalybridge

Sunday:

  • Manchester Airport and Stalybridge (before 12:30)
  • Manchester Airport and York (after 12:30)
  • Manchester Victoria and York (before 12:30)
  • Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge (after 12:30)
  • Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle
  • Leeds and Hull
  • York and Redcar Central / Scarborough
  • Wakefield Kirkgate and York

The following rail replacement bus services will be in operation (on both Saturday and Sunday) between:

  • Huddersfield and Brighouse and Halifax
  • Huddersfield and Wakefield Kirkgate
  • Huddersfield and Stalybridge (fast and local stopping services)
