Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: River levels are falling slowly at the Eathorpe river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall, and will remain high until Friday morning, 04/10/24. We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Leam between Grandborough and Leamington including Kites Hardwick, Birdingbury, Marton, Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch and the River Itchen between Southam and Marton including Long Itchington. No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 04/10/24 or as the situation changes.
