Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester, closing some lines overnight

From approximately 23:25 Monday to Thursday nights until 05:30 Tuesday to Friday mornings the following services are affected:

Monday to Thursday:

The 21:09 Birmingham International Airport to Manchester Piccadilly service will terminate at Chester. A replacement bus service will run from Chester to Manchester Piccadilly, not calling at Warrington Bank Quay.

The 23:20 Manchester Airport to Holyhead service will start from Chester at 00:52. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester. You should use alternative trains between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 00:26 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester service will not run, and will be bus replaced throughout.

The 03:51 Chester to Manchester Airport service will not run and will be bus replaced throughout. terminating at Manchester Piccadilly. You should use alternative trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.

The 04:55 Chester to Manchester Airport service will depart later than usual at 05:00, and will terminate at Manchester Oxford Road. You should use alternative trains between Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Airport.

The 06:25 Manchester Airport to Llandudno service will start from Manchester Oxford Road. You should use alternative trains between Manchester Airport and Manchester Oxford Road.
