Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place overnight between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly, closing some lines.

The following services are affected:

Monday to Thursday

  • The 20:52 Chester to Manchester Airport will terminate at Warrington Bank Quay. A replacement bus service will run between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Piccadilly.
  • The 21:09 Birmingham International to Manchester Piccadilly will terminate at Chester. A replacement bus service will run between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly.
  • The 21:52 Chester to Manchester Airport service will terminate at Warrington Bank Quay. A replacement bus service will run between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Piccadilly.
  • The 22:25 Manchester Airport to Chester service will not run. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester, departing at 22:44.
  • The 23:20 Manchester Airport to Holyhead service will start at Chester. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Holyhead, departing at 23:37.
  • The 00:26 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester service will not run. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester, calling at all stations.

Tursday to Friday

  • The 03:51 Chester to Manchester Airport service will not run. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester, departing earlier than usual at 03:00.
  • The 05:25 Manchester Airport to Llandudno service will start at Warrington Bank Quay, departing later than usual at 06:19. A replacement bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Warrington Bank Quay, departing earlier than usual at 04:59.

For travel between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport, you should use service provided by other Train Operating Companies to complete your journey.
