Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place on the route between Glasgow and East Kilbride, closing all lines for 16 weeks while work is carried out on the electrification of the railway. Background information on this project is available on the Network Rail website.
No trains will operate between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride throughout the duration of the works.
Two replacement bus services will run between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride throughout the duration of the works: A slower bus service calling at Crossmyloof, Pollockshaws West, Giffnock, Clarkston, Busby, and Hairmyres; and a faster bus service calling at Hairmyres only.
Please note there will be no service at Thornliebank, you are advised to use services from Kennishead station.
