Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Penzance and St Ives / Truro, closing all lines.
CrossCountry:
No trains will run between Penzance and Plymouth.
You can use Great Western Railway buses between Penzance and Truro, and Great Western Railway train services between Truro and Plymouth, at no extra cost.
Great Western Railway:
Buses will replace trains between:
- Penzance and Truro, calling at St Erth
- Penzance and Truro, calling at St Erth, Hayle, Camborne and Redruth
At St Erth, buses towards Penzance will drop off only, and buses from Penzance will pick up only.
For travel between St Erth and St Ives, and also between St Erth and Penzance, you can use your tickets at no extra cost on First bus services 17 / 17A.
These buses call at:
- St Erth Railway station interchange
- Penzance (bus station)
- Lelant Downs (Village Hall)
- Carbis Bay (Longstone Cross)
- St Ives (The Terrace)
“Night Riviera” Sleeper services:
Sleeper services that usually run between Penzance and London Paddington will be amended to run between Truro and London Paddington only.
On Tuesday morning, the 23:45 London Paddington to Penzance (terminating at Truro) “Night Riviera” Sleeper service will arrive at Exeter St Davids at 04:25.
On Thursday morning, the 23:45 London Paddington to Penzance (terminating at Truro) “Night Riviera” Sleeper service will arrive at Exeter St Davids at 04:19.
