Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place in the Preston area, closing some lines.
Avanti West Coast:
Buses will replace trains between Preston and Carlisle.
No trains will run between Preston and Blackpool North. You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Northern replacement buses.
Northern:
Trains between Leeds / York / Manchester stations / Liverpool Lime Street and Blackpool North will start / terminate at Preston, also trains between Colne and Blackpool South .
Buses replace trains between Preston and Blackpool North / South.
TransPennine Express:
The following train service will operate:
2 trains per hour between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh
Manchester Airport and Oxenholme Lake District
Liverpool Lime Street and Oxenholme Lake District
A replacement bus service will operate between Oxenholme Lake District and Carlisle.
