Current Flood Alert: Flood alert 3

Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Groundwater levels are currently rising at our Longacre borehole in the Lambourn Valley as a result of persistent rainfall. Groundwater levels are above normal for this time of year and have reached a level where communities may be affected by groundwater flooding within the next week. We expect levels to rise over coming weeks and levels remain sensitive to further sustained rainfall. Low-lying land, roads and basements will therefore to be at risk of flooding. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. We are continuing to monitor groundwater levels and will update this message next week, 17/12/2024 or as the situation changes.
