Rain spreading east through the day on Thursday, showers following in the evening. Showers Friday morning, sunny into the afternoon. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain at times Saturday.

UK Outlook for Sunday 21 Apr 2024 to Tuesday 30 Apr 2024:

High pressure should ensure a fine and dry day for most of the UK on Sunday, and in any sunshine and light winds it should feel warm. Perhaps cloudier across some northern and eastern areas where the odd spot of rain or shower is possible, although these should be light. Into next week the high is likely to withdraw to the west a little, and this will open the door to cooler and less settled conditions, with some rain or showers mainly affecting the north and east, with the best chance of staying dry across western and southern parts. After a brief warmer interlude on Sunday temperatures are likely to trend back toward or a little below average,

UK Outlook for Wednesday 1 May 2024 to Wednesday 15 May 2024:

Around the turn of the month high pressure will probably remain close to the UK, with a good deal of dry weather continuing for many areas. As we move further into May signals are finely balanced between drier than average and wetter than average conditions. As such fairly typical conditions are likely, with some good spells of dry weather just about anywhere, but also some more unsettled, showery interludes. Temperatures are likely to trend toward the warm side of average.
