Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place from approx 17:00 on Saturday and all day Sunday between Manchester Victoria and Ashton-under-Lyne, closing all lines.


Trains between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge will not run.

TransPennine Express:

There will be no TransPennine Express services between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge.

Services to/from Saltburn will divert via Guide Bridge and will start/terminate at Manchester Piccadilly.

Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street services will call at Manchester Victoria but will not call at Huddersfield and will additonally call at Brighouse.

Buses will not be provided – alternative journeys are available using local bus and tram services, or by train between Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge.
