Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria and Salford Crescent, closing various lines.

Northern:

Leeds – Chester:

Trains that usually run between Leeds and Chester will be amended to run between Leeds and Manchester Victoria only. Alternative train services are available between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly via Earlestown, operated by Transport for Wales.

Southport – Blackburn:

Trains will run to an amended and reduced timetable between Southport and Manchester Oxford Road only. Services between Leeds and Manchester Victoria will call additionally at intermediate stations between Todmorden and Manchester Victoria.

Wigan Wallgate – Stalybridge:

Trains will run a reduced timetable between Salford Crescent and Wigan Wallgate via Bolton. Train services are available between Manchester Piccadilly and Stalybridge, operated by TransPennine Express.

You can use your ticket on any Bee Network buses between Salford Central and Salford Crescent / Manchester City Centre / Manchester Oxford Road at no extra cost.

Clitheroe – Manchester Victoria:

Trains will be diverted to run via Todmorden and will not call at stations between Blackburn and Manchester Victoria via Bolton. A shuttle train service will be provided between Bolton and Blackburn.

TransPennine Express:

Buses will replace trains between Manchester Victoria and Liverpool Lime Street.
