Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Blackrod and Preston, closing some lines overnight from Monday morning to Thursday night.
As a result, the following services will divert via Wigan North Western, and not call at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway:
Monday to Thursday:
- 22:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service. A replacement bus will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Preston
- 23:17 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service. A replacement bus will run between Manchester Oxford Road and Preston
- 23:22 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service. A replacement bus will run between Preston and Manchester Airport
- 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service. A replacement bus will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston
Tuesday to Friday:
- 04:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service. Customers at or for stations between Salford Crescent and Buckshaw Parkway are advised to wait and catch the next available service
