Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Dalston Junction / London Blackfriars and Crystal Palace / East Croydon, closing various lines.
No trains will run between London Bridge and Crystal Palace / East Croydon via Sydenham all weekend. A reduced service will run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate.
London Overground:
Trains between Dalston Junction and Clapham Junction will be amended to run between Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction.
A reduced service of 4 trains per hour will run between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate.
Ticket acceptance:
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on:
- Southern replacement bus services between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace
- Southern train services between Crystal Palace and East Croydon via Norwood Junction
- London Trams / London Buses by any reasonable route
Southern:
Buses will replace trains between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace.
Journey times will be extended when using replacement buses.
The following services will run to an amended timetable:
- Trains between London Bridge and Caterham / Tattenham Corner will be diverted to run via Peckham Rye
- Trains between London Victoria and London Bridge will run between London Victoria and Crystal Palace only
- Trains between London Victoria and Sutton (London) / Epsom Downs
- (Saturday only) Trains between East Croydon and Watford Junction will run between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction only
- (Saturday only) Trains between London Bridge an Uckfield will run between East Croydon and Uckfield only
- (Saturday only) Trains between London Bridge and Epsom will not run
Ticket Acceptance:
You can use your paper tickets at no extra cost on London Bus route 157 between Crystal Palace and West Croydon.
You can use your tickets at no extra cost on London Underground Jubilee line trains between London Bridge and Canada Water, and on London Overground trains (Windrush line) between Canada Water and New Cross Gate.
Thameslink:
An amended timetable will be in operation.
No Thameslink trains will run between Herne Hill and Sutton via Mitcham Junction. Trains will run to an amended timetable between Luton and Sutton via Wimbledon.
Trains to / from Gatwick Airport / Three Bridges / Brighton / Horsham will be diverted and will not call at London Bridge.
Due to limited capacity for train services, some trains will only run between Bedford and London Blackfriars.
Ticket acceptance:
If you are travelling to / from stations between Herne Hill and Sutton via Mitcham Junction, your tickets will be accepted on Southern services at no extra cost.
